DATA CAPTURER

To capture, update, clean, and maintain quality of patients’ medical records, relating to the delivery of Right to Care-supported HIV services at the clinic, on the relevant electronic/paper patient register/database used in the clinic.

Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric
  • Post-matric certificate in computer literacy including Excel, OR equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge of HIV/AIDS
  • Proficiency in English
  • 1 year experience in data capturing
  • Experience in working at APACE programme
  • 1 year’experience in data capturing on Tier.Net which is a programme used at the Department of Health
  • 1 year’experience in Capturing on QODE programme.
  • Must have 1 year’ experience in achieving programme outcomes within the Thabo Mofutsanyana region
  • Must have 1-year experience in liaising with TM NDOH and familiar with their SOPs
  • Must be a resident of TM or surrounding areas.

Key Performance Areas

  • Capture all relevant patient data relating to HIV/TB services from paper files/paper patient register onto the relevant electronic database daily, including data relating to current visits as well as data relating to past visits (historical data)
  • Compile Data Verification Report for own portion of the electronic/paper patient register/ database, at least twice monthly.

CLEANER

Description

Right To Care is looking for a suitable cleaner to be part of its team in Northwest Province (DR Kenneth Kaunda District) on a 12-month locum contract (X3 Positions).

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

Program Output                               

  • Cleaning all areas of the VMMC clinic site, including offices, exam rooms, operating rooms, pre and post assessment, waiting area counselling rooms, toilets, kitchen and the entrance hall
  • Assists in carrying out infection control guidelines and universal precautions to avoid occupational exposure.
  • Assists in carrying out infection control guidelines and universal precautions to avoid occupational exposure.
  • Takes reasonable care for the health, safety, and welfare of him/herself and other employees in accordance with VMMC site operations.
  • Daily cleaning of the human tissue fridge.
  • Adheres to always wearing safety equipment and clothing.
  • Daily carbolising of the theatre equipment’s.
  • Dis-infecting of all the MMC rooms from reception, waiting area.
  • Emptying and segregating of waste bins at MMC facility.
  • Daily cleaning of the kitchen which includes periodic cleaning of the refrigerator and microwave.
  • Cleaning and of the specimen refrigerator.
  • Using of colour coded mops and cloths for cleaning different areas to prevent cross infection.
  • Cleaning of all rooms in Mobile Unit and making it clean to provide VMMC services.

Reporting 

  • Report any incidents to line manager.
  • Reporting of any maintenance issues you may come across while cleaning.

Business Continuity

  • Perform any other relevant and reasonable tasks within your scope of practice which may be required from time to time.
  • Keep abreast with RTC Care policies.

Required Minimum Qualifications and Experience 

  • Grade 8/Standard 6
  • Two years working experience as a cleaner in health facilities.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience 

  • Grade 10/Standard 8
  • VMMC certificate

DRIVER

Description

Right To Care is looking for a suitable driver to be part of its team in Northwest Province (DR Kenneth Kaunda District) on a 12 Month Locum Contract (X3 Positions).

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Vehicle and Mobile Maintenance

• Keep track on the vehicle date of service and ensure RTC Management is informed in advance when the service date is approaching.
• Reporting vehicle maintenance problems in a timely fashion.
• Ensure vehicle inspection is done daily and weekly by line manager.
• Report vehicle accidents immediately to supervisor and to insurance.
• Keep track of renewal dates for registration and vehicle license and ensure RTC Management is informed about deadlines at least one month in advance.
• Keep accurate logbook before leaving and parking of the unit at the end of the day.
• Always adhere to the vehicle policy.
• Adhere to the rules of the road.
• Ensure that the vehicle is always parked over night at an approved location.
• Pull the Mobile to designated areas of work.
• Assist in opening/setting up of the Mobile during outreach.

Self-Management

  • Always conduct yourself in a professional manner.
  • Ensure you don’t involve yourself in road rage.
  • Always ensure punctuality.

Customer Relations

  • Impart accurate knowledge to patients on preventative options that include medical male circumcision to help ensure that potential patient can make an informed decision about VMMC.
  • Answer patient’s questions on HIV/AIDS and VMMC.
  • Engage potential patients professionally to establish consistent male health reproductive health and prevention messages.
  • Conduct community-based small group and one-on-one education sessions about VMMC with the goal of identifying interested clients.
  • Assist demand creation teams with transport and other demand creation resources.

Requirements

CLERK

Description

Right To Care is looking for a suitable qualified Clerk to be part of its team in Northwest Province (DR Kenneth Kaunda District) on a 12 Month locum contract (X3 Positions).             

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

Program Output                                   

  • Report vehicle incident immediately to the supervisor and complete an incident report.
  • Be flexible to adjust to the transport schedule as needs arise.
  • Provide assistance to all people as per the Batho Pele and Patients’ Rights Charter principles.
  • Perform any other relevant and reasonable tasks which may be required from time to time.
  • Ensure all clients tested HIV positive are linked to care and started treatment and record on the register accordingly.
  • Ensure stock and suppliers management/control and timely reporting of any missing or broken to line manager.

Data Management

  • Capture and scan all consent and follow-up forms from Right to Care-supported VMMC sites onto various systems.
  • All original documents must be submitted to the District Office within seven days after completion of the circumcision.
  • Record all consent forms onto VMMC registers.
  • Ensure data accuracy by identifying data quality errors and communicate these to the relevant stakeholders.

Quality Assurance

  • Verify the completeness of the consent-, follow-up forms and patient registers.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of information captured against the source document.
  • This verification must include both Right to Care and Department of Health data systems.
  • Manage individual follow-ups of queried source documents within three days of initial query.

Reporting

  • Report and submit daily, weekly and monthly statistics from supported VMMC sites as per agreed deadlines, reporting criteria and procedures.
  • Compile and submit standardised weekly status reports as per the reporting lines.

Administration

  • Ensure all source documents are completed before filing.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all clients seen at the facility.
  • Order VMMC-related materials and forms with the relevant District Office.

Requirements

Required Minimum Qualifications and Experience

CLINICAL ASSOCIATE

Description

Right To Care is looking for a suitable qualified Clinical Associate to be part of its clinical team in Northwest Province (DR Kenneth Kaunda District) on 12 months locum contract, (X5 positions).

Key Performance areas

Program Output                                       

  • Serve as first point of contact to District VMMC site for logistics, supply, transport, demand and other relevant challenges.
  • Implement Voluntary Male Circumcision Programme (VMMC) at facility level in accordance with provincial and SA national guidelines.
  • Ensure comprehensive package of VMMC services available.
  • Maintain and respond to QA assessments.
  • Chair/attend staff meetings.
  • Ensure all Circumcised Clients are followed up as per SA/WHO guidelines.
  • Management of VMMC related adverse events effectively.
  • Obtain informed consent from clients by providing them with essential information as per the National Department of Health (NDoH) and PEPFAR VMMC/HTS guidelines.

Stakeholder Management

  • Key stakeholder engagement including participation at Sub-District and facility activities.
  • Ensure Training and mentorship of all DOH district staff on MMC program.
  • Ensure Organizational representation in all Sub-District by having activities done.

Linkage to Care and Treatment

  • Conduct Active and/or supported linkage to care and treatment of all newly diagnosed HIV positive clients.
  • Ensure all clients tested HIV positive are linked to care and started treatment and record on the register accordingly.
  • Confirm that all linked clients have reached a care and treatment facility within a week of referral.

Quality Assurance

  • Participate in internal and external quality assurance assessments. 
  • Assist the site with quality improvement activities in response to QA results.
  • Ensure all source documents are available and well utilised by the Roving team.

Reporting

  • Compile and submit standardised progress report of the Roving team weekly to line Manager.
  • Review all follow-up source documents for completeness and outcome management.
  • Ensure that all the outcomes of referred clients are correctly documented.

Requirements

Required Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Clinical associate degree/ Bachelor Clinical Medical Practice VMMC Training course.
  • A valid South African driver’s license endorsed with a PrDP (Professional Driving Permit) is compulsory.
  • 2-year experience in Public Health setting.

PROFESSIONAL NURSE

Description

Right To Care is looking for a suitable qualified and VMMC trained Professional Nurse, to be part of its clinical team in Northwest Province (DR Kenneth Kaunda District) on a 12-month Locum Contract (X5 Positions).                 

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

  • Assist to align demand creation and clinical efforts to ensure collaboration in working towards targets.
  • Assist in provision of coaching and mentorship to Demand Creation Officers and Social Mobilisers regarding demand creation programme performance.
  • Assist in drafting of annual Operational plan.
  • Assist in drafting demand creation plans as required.
  • Ensure availability of suppliers and equipment’s.

Clinical Input 

  • Implement Voluntary Male Circumcision Programme (VMMC) at facility level in accordance with provincial and SA national guidelines.
  • Ensure comprehensive package of VMMC services available.

  • Confirm that all linked clients have reached a care and treatment facility within a week of referral.
  • Follow up on all linked clients at one-, three- and six months into care and treatment.
  • Verify that all linked clients are still in care and treatment and adhere to their treatment.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all source documents are available and well utilised by the Roving team.
  • Ensure utilisation of PPE materials by all staff at the facility.
  • Ensure clinical staff conducts Medical Circumcision in line with Minimum Surgical Procedure Standards.

Reporting

  • Assist and submit standardised progress report of the Roving team weekly to line Manager.
  • Review all follow-up source documents for completeness and outcome management.
  • Ensure that all the outcomes of referred clients are correctly documented.

Requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Nursing (General, Community, Psychiatry) and Midwifery.
  • A valid South African driver’s license endorsed with a PrDP (Professional Driving Permit) is compulsory.
  • Two to three years working experience as Professional Nurse in the surgical environment.
  • SANC Registration

Desirable Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A Diploma in Nursing and VMMC Certificate.
  • Two years NGO working experience.
  • Infection Control Certificate
  • VMMC Certificate
  • HIV Management Certificate.
