Makhado Municipality funded by SALGA is offering the Work Integrated Learning aimed at uplifting socio-economic status and preparing unemployed youth for employment by providing them with the opportunity to acquire work experience.

Available WIL vacancies

Makhado Local Municipality is hereby inviting unemployed graduates / learners in position of completed N4 – N6 certificates to apply for advertised Workplace Integrated and graduate’s placement program in the following field of study:

  • Marketing Management x1
  • Financial Management x4
  • Human Resources Management x3
  • Public Management x10
  • Electrical Engineering x10
  • Civil Engineering x15
  • Mechanical Engineering x4

There are x47 posts open for applications by unemployed learners.

Requirements/ Eligibility

  • Completed TVET College N4 – N6 certificate
  • South African citizens who are permanent residents of Makhado Municipality may apply.
  • Applicants must be in possession of the qualifications in any of the fields stated above.
  • Applicants should not have previous working experience or have participated in any internship programme.
  • Applicants should not be older than 35 years.

The duration of placement will be 18 – 24 Months for TVET learners in terms of  Work Integrated Learning.

Please note that this placement programme is not a permanent offer of employment, but an opportunity to acquire relevant work experience or to be issued with their diploma.

Application Process

Applicants must specify the discipline or area of specialisation they are applying for, accompanied by comprehensive curriculum vitae and certified copies of original qualifications, academic transcripts and a copy of SA ID document (Smart IDs to be copied on both sides).

The certifying stamp must not be older than 6 months. Testimonial letters in case of TVET learners should also not be older than 2023 academic years.

Note: Appointment is subject to security clearance, verification of qualifications, and signing of an WIL contract.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.

If no response is received from Makhado Municipality within 45 days after the closing date; it must be regarded that your application has been unsuccessful.
