Learnerships Closing in May 2023

A learnership is a learning programme that leads to an occupational qualification. Learnerships include classroom-based learning at a training centre or college and on-the-job training in a workplace.

Do you get paid for Learnership?

Yes you will be paid a stipend – It’s important to note that this will not be equivalent to a full time salary but should at least cover your transport and meals. There’s no guarantee at the end of the learnership that the company will employ you.

Period or Duration of a Learnership

It usually takes a year to complete a learnership, although there are some learnerships that are completed over two or more years. It is possible for learners to complete a learnership in a shorter time through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
