Every month, millions of vulnerable people in the country receive financial support from the South African Social Security Agency in the form of social grants, but some are unsuccessful after submitting their grant applications. These persons have the right to file appeal.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) provides financial assistance to disadvantaged people through social grants. Social grants allow unemployed or low-income beneficiaries to purchase basic goods and services each month.

People over the age of 60 who need financial assistance are entitled to old-age grant. Sassa also supports children through several grants. People with disabilities rely on disability grants for critical support. This grant is given to welfare recipients who need full-time care. The purpose is to pay the caregiver.

Here’s How To Submit A R350 Grant Appeal For August 2023

  1. Visit the Sassa SRD appeal portal
  2. Enter Your ID Number and Mobile phone number used during the application
  3. Click ”Send Pin”
  4. Insert the pin you received via sms and click “Submit”
  5. Simply select the month that you are appealing for
  6. On the drop-down arrow kindly choose the reason for your appeal application
  7. The appeal application process will now be completed by clicking “Submit”

ITSAA will process R350 grant applications appeals within 60-90 days. If the applicant is not satisfied with the decision, they can file an appeal with the Supreme Court within 180 days of receiving the decision of the ITSAA.

Beneficiaries must submit a grant appeal of R350 for each month the grant is denied or rejected.
