Companies And Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) invites candidates to apply for Internships and Jobs.

GRADUATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME FOR INTERNAL AUDIT DIVISION (X04)

Remuneration: R12 000, 00 stipend per month

CIPC (a member of the dtic) is committed to youth skills development by providing graduates with opportunities to gain work experience to complement their studies. Applicants are invited for an Internship Programme that would run for a period of 12 months. Interns will be placed in our Sunnyside Office (Pretoria).

WHAT IS INTERNSHIP

As contemplated by Cabinet in December 2002, an Internship is a public service graduate work experience programme targeting unemployed graduates. It gives students workplace experience or an opportunity to practice the work skills that they have studied and will practice in the future.

Beneficiaries of the Internship programme:

  • Unemployed South African graduates from higher education institutions who have completed their degrees/diplomas.
  • Unemployed graduates who have not been exposed to work experience related to the area of study that they have completed.
  • Applicants must be between ages of 18 to 35 years old.

Successful applicants will be expected to sign a Graduate Internship Programme Agreement.

Qualifications and SA citizenship checks will be conducted on the successful candidate. It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

Field of study: Internal Auditing

Qualification: Advanced Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Internal Auditing

Number of Interns required: 04

Business Process Engineer

Job Purpose:

  • To analyse and design new inter-connected business processes and re-engineer existing business processes with a view on enterprise-wide business objectives;
  • Drive the analysis and documentation processes of the Process Engineering Unit – effectively translating the requirements of business into accurate functional specifications and practical system specifications;
  • Align internal working procedures with industry standard best-practices.

Key performance areas

  • To apply analytical capability to design new and/or review and redesign existing business processes;
  • Provide input into operating policies, procedures and guidelines;
  • Report on performance and to identify and escalate performance constraints.

Applicants may, as a step in the recruitment process, be subjected to a competency assessment. In addition, the successful candidate must be prepared to undergo a process of a security clearance prior to the appointment.

Requirements

Required Minimum Education / Training

  • National Diploma/B Degree in Engineering / Information Systems or relevant qualification
  • B Degree in Business Administration/MBA will be an added advantage.Required Minimum Experience
  • 5 years’ relevant experience that include:
  • Process development experience across cross-functional teams;
  • Engineering or software development industries.

Senior Manager: Application Management

Job Purpose: To plan, develop, manage   and monitor mission -critical ICT applications in order to realize optimum service delivery for the CIPC.

Required minimum education/training

  • 3-year National Diploma or B Degree in ICT or any ICT related qualification 
  • Required minimum experience:
  • 10+ years software development experience
  • Experience in software development, testing methods and techniques.
  • Experience working with K2 development; Administration
  • Experience performing job functions on .NET
  • Extensive understanding of REST/SOAP services and integration.
  • Experience in the development of Oracle PL/SQL
  • Experience in leading technical teams
  • Experience in automation testing
  • Experience in the use of testing support tools.
  • Experience with testing applications.

Key performance areas: 

  • To establish Applications Business Unit as a pro-active, value-adding source of expertise with ICT applications and strategically direct and supervise the ICT application management activities of the CIPC;
  • Manage the development and testing of applications systems and the technical stability of applications systems
  • To manage relationships with key stakeholders and ICT partners
  • To manage and co-ordinate the strategic and business planning and budgeting for the division and monitor the implementation of the business plan and related projects;
  • To ensure adherence to human resource, financial and administrative strategies, policies and procedures in the divisional;
  • To ensure the proper administration, governance and risk management of the business unit.
